Nature Youth Forum

About Forum:

This is a Forum for the youth which inculcates nature stewardship and caring attitude for the environment. The children between the ages 12-18 years can join this forum. Members of the Forum will be invited to participate in various environmental activities and events. They will be provided opportunities to express their innovative ideas and thoughts to strengthen the Forum.
Exposure visits and other events would be organized for the members and publications about environmental education would be shared with them. Members will contribute the success stories, articles and paintings relating to environmental initiatives.
Students of nature clubs at priority sites of Keenjhar Lake, Keti Bunder, Chotiari Reservoir and Pai Forest and other schools can apply for membership. There is no membership fee. 

Objectives:

• Develop eco-friendly behavior in youth to change their lifestyle.
• Sensitize youth at priority sites regarding the environmental problems such as depletion of ozone layer, increase in global warming, hazards of rapid industrialization and fast degradation of natural resources.
• Create caring attitude amongst youth for environment.
• Increase youth ownership of local natural resources.
• Equip and support youth in organizing events and seminars.
